So how about TF? I talked to Rick today and he thought that this would be a great idea. However, he and I have no idea on how to get this started. One person that Rick and I came up w/ that would  be good to help us get started would be Chelly. The Toy Drive would be of course for those children whose parents can not afford to buy their kids toys this year for Xmas. So what do you all think?

Sorry I've been so incommudicado lately.

Had an all day seminar yesterday and I'm bogged down with work today.

As for a toy drive...let me look into it.  I love stuff like this.  I used to head up our Blood drives, toy drives, coats for kids, pet walks, walks for cancer etc. at my last job.  Had fun doing it.

Give me some time and I'll get back in here.  I think this is a fabulous idea.

Also, I'd like to mention, in your own back yard you should be seeing drives for "Coats for Kids" They need coats of all sizes (remember, some teens are really tall and/or larger) so even adult coats, sweaters, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats are needed.  Some areas have boot drives.

Also, don't forget our Four legged freinds this year.  Your local shelters will need supplies.  Blankets (no comforters), bleach, newspaper, food, litter etc.  Christmas can be a horrible time of year for our furry friends because they are given as gifts and the novelty soon wears off.  Spring is also very heavy with puppies who have "overgrown" their home from being given as a Christmas Gift.

I personally am against giving pets for Christmas unless you know EXACTLY what you're in for.

I'll be back
