I know that most of us have had some bad luck in our lives. But w/ me this is really starting to piss me off. All of u know that I was in an accident on Thanksgiving Day. Well got the car back this past Wednesday. I have been driving her for the past 4 days now. I just came back from going on a nice cruise w/ my car and I look down at the gauges on my car and what do I see? Yep you guessed it, the check engine light is now on. Why, how the heck do I know. No mods to the engine or anything like that. I checked under the hood and could not find what was wrong w/ it. I was thinking it may be the DPFE Sensor, but remembered when my wife had this her car would bog really bad. Nothing like that happened. Then I thought of the fact that it could be one of my O2sensors. Don't know. But she only has 44,847 acutal miles on her. I was going to trade mine in today for a 2003 SVT, but the price and mileage was too much. So I decided against it. Now this happens. Someone  please just shoot me and put me out of my misery will ya all ready. :X:X:X:X:X:X

Breathe deeply. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Slowly, deeply...at least 10-12 times.

When I feel like that, I take a piece of paper & fold it so that I have 2 vertical columns. In the left column, I list everything in my life that's good, that I like, that I'm thankful for, that give me pleasure. In the left column I list everything that wrong, that's making me angry or sad.

In all the times I've done this, the right list has never been longer than the left one. In fact, they've never even been close.

This too shall pass, and 5 years from now, it'll be the least of your worries.

:aff

fuck vatozone. the only reasons to go there are the free tool rentals and the free code scan. During the swap we called the zone so many times looking for shit that they should know about.

"do you sell clutch alignment tools? what are those? they align the clutch. never heard of it. do you sell clutches? yes. then you sell alignment tools. (silence) there is no such thing. (click)"

"hi, do y'all sell the tool to remove rounded off bolts? a tool to round off bolts? no, the tool FOR rounded bolts. uh, you have to just drill it out and retap the hole. there is a tool, do you sell it? there is no such thing sir. (click)"

"hi, do y'all sell female torx sockets? what? female torx sockets, they accept male torx ends like block dowels.? Never heard of it. what are those right behind you? (silence) that'l be 6.50 sir."

fuck I hate vatozone. after we bought the bolt removers from sears we went back to vatozone and slapped em on the counter for jackass to take a good look at. :fu

I only use AutoZone for the same - they typically don't have people who are very knowledgable at all. Any schmoe can work for them.

I actually have always been happy with the knowledge of the people at NAPA, but it depends on everyone's preference

Believe me, I am going to have Auto Zone run the scanner to find out what the code is. I have a feeling it's going to be a O2 Sensor. Does anyone know how to clean the rear window nozzle for the hatchback. Mine doesn't work now. Since it's snowing I need to clean the back window. Thanks in Advance.

i used to delete the codes and not care, but now, my o2 sensors, the DPFE sensor, are not working...so now i'm working on replacing those....cuz i took my focus out this past saturday, cuz it was a beautiful where i live, and my focus ran like shit...took it to vatozone, and they did a scan and they told me that my o2 sensors and my DPFE sensor is busted...so now my car is at my friend's garage, and i'm working on getting those sensors from ford, and installing the RSM on the car...but yea, don't delete, cuz later on, the CEL will just come back on...

Well Auto Zone ran the code and it came back as the EVAP leak. I was going to write the code down, but the putz deleted this before I was able to write it down. Said that this has something to do w/ the fuel system. Asked me if I had just put gas in the car and forgot to put the gas cap back on. I said: Nope. She has been sitting do to a car accident. I was asked it the check engine light came on after the accident and I said: Nope. This just happened on Sunday. She drives fine, w/ no problems of any kind. No bogging, no hesitation no nothing. I am wondering if this could be my PCV valve as I have not replaced this as of yet. I have the factory PCV valve that is 4 years old. ;:what;:what;:what;:what;:what

no. its either a leaky seal on the gas cap or a leak in the evap. the evap is tested by fogging the system thru the test port.
