Drove straight through. Took 24 hours. Just remembered why I'm not a fan of Idaho. They just let the trucks pound the snow in to ice. Focus handles the moguls quite well, although quite a bit of the time sideways. Even snow in southern Utah. It's a relatively balmy 58F here which feels downright warm.
BTW Montana does have posted speed limit, 75 on I15. But if the traffic is light, it's good visibility in daylight, and you don't drive like an idiot they pretty much leave you alone. Got pulled over a couple of summers ago doing 130ish on the bike and he just checked me out and let me go on my way. Montana state cops seem to be ok from my experiences. Push it too hard in the "Deer warning" areas at night and the cops will let you know that they hate the paperwork when someone 'bambis" a car. You'll end up with an expensive reminder of just how much they dislike that paperwork.
