Any group of humans is too small to be able to see the entirety of any ecological situation. We can't even see the true history about a 220 something year old country, yet everyone believes they are right. History is written by a writer just as the supposed truth is as to who is behind every perspective of every evil. There's lots of info on how trees pollute the air and how the earths magnetic field is going to flip again and is increasingly destabilizing itself. That can have a lot to do with all kinds of environmental changes but most environmental groups don't wanna see that. And no one will ever see the entire truth because there are too many variables to consider what might happen. I'm not trying to start a dispute over environmentalism, just saying that what a group of humans think, no matter who they are, is not something to ever be taken as truth as we are too small in the entire scope of the universe to see everything.
For all disputes there will be evils from every perspective. And here's an example: Mr. Moyers talks about him looking at his grandchildren's pictures. Where does Mr. Moyer get his idea that he had any right in this great universe to take control over another being and force it to do what he wanted as in his procreation. Having children is the most selfish thing one could ever do. It is a crime worse than slavery or murder for one is not just assaulting a being but forcing a mind to endure all sorts of tortures and dilemmas, justifying it by calling it life. From a christian perspective it all makes sense as God created humans for companionship and he as creator gives the right. From a agnostic/athiestic perspective it should be evil. Whether or not one cares if it is evil is one thing but most will completely refuse to believe it. They think its their natural human right or even worse, they're doing the being a favor by bringing it into this world. Moreso they outlaw the being hastening its journey through life and call it abnormal. Who in this world can understand everything? Can all understand Einstein's writings? Or the genius of Mozart or Beethoven? Then how can you make legislature outlawing something that not all can understand like a perspective on how whether life is worth enduring? By a noncreationist belief, life is worth NOTHING. There is no way around it. It is fleeting and fickle. Not even a second in eternity.
That is a lot to read and all but its my response to mr. moyers statements. For anyone who didn't read it, its saying that what he said is insignificant and his breath shoulda been used on telling his grandchildren that he loved them.
