Team Focus has a very large New England group so don't come in here, saying that all of us are "Band Wagon Jumpers". There might be some, but don't classify us all like that.

I'm not classifing you as nothing and if I did, it shouldn't matter.. I have a freedom of speach and opinion.... (last time I checked,).. nothing in my remark did I specifally say any of you.. I was a bit bland on who I was talking about... I meant people that know nothing about football and just get all excited when the patriots win.

Ya know, I always find it interesting that people use the logic, if you know you are right then why do you care? Why shouldn't it matter, if I classified you as a rapist wouldn't you stand up for yourself? If I classified you as a terrorist wouldn't you stand up for yourself? Just because I know I'm not a band wagon fan, doesn't mean that I'm not going to defend myself when I think someone has classified me as something I'm not.

And as for hanging with players making you a better fan. Maybe, maybe not. I know Kevin Millar of the Red Sox, but I'm not a bigger fan of the Red Sox than I was before he joined the team. Heck, I could have cared less when he was playing for the Marlins, besides wishing him well. And as for Vick, I'll say it again. He may be cool in person (probably more so because he's pullin' down more money than just about every pro football player), but I don't truly respect him as a football player because he doesn't understand the concept of team. Hate the Patriots all you want, but they are a selfless team, they have guys who have taken PAY CUTS to stay in New England, what you want to bet Vick wouldn't do that.

And yes by knowing the players does make you a better fan.. helps you understand who they are as a person. If you don't think so then thats your opinion. Attacking my opinion and calling me childish for it is pathetic. Your the one being childish.

No, quite the contrary. The only one being childish is the person who made the foolish comment about all Pats fans being bandwagoneers. That's just dopey. That's called TROLLING, trolling for replies. And to post something like that, and expect people to sit idly by and not call you on it is even more ridiculous, especially considering the amount of New England natives on this board.

Nothing personal against you or your opinion dood, but really, don't troll with such comments and then expect it to fly without reaction ;spooked

ugh. so tired of the Patriots. they're like the yankees of football.

I hate streaks in general, hated the boys and the niners when they were on their runs. Unless its your team, "dynastys" are lame. Would have loved to see the eagles win. Too bad McNabb pulled a rich gannon and forgot how to play. and whatever the hell was up with their lack of hustle.

At least T.O. got loose. oh well, congrats Pats fans.

Is that so...

I don't see the comparison, the Yankee's buy every all star player that hits the free agent market, and spend more than anyone else in the entire MLB, even more than half the teams combined. The Patriots play under the salary cap, they develop young players, and players that other teams don't want, guys take pay cuts to stay with New England, players get paid less than their market value to play with New England, how is that anything like the Yankee's? The Patriots are the rare instance in today's money-laden professional sports, where a team means a team, and not a collection of the absolute highest paid individuals that money can buy.

I didnt meant o compare them in the way of buying power. you cant really do that unless you want to pay the salary cap fine every year. just that lately its always them in the big game, they always win, and everyone reveres/fears them. I'm hoping they get knocked off soon. Isn't it time for the Bengals to get another shot at the bowl? wheres Icky woods when you need him? ;biglaugh
