Ok, so this morning the doorbell rang at my job, just so you know, nothing to do with my children at home, but here at work, we have geese, like many other business's and ducks. So this guy walks in and he says, may I have the person who handles your geese? So I gave him the managers name or whatever and then I have been so curious forever, what they do to them!! So I asked , he said well they are protected animals so we round up with collies and put them in the truck and take them to a secluded pond, where no business's are at. So yeah, I didn't quite beleive him. (because I bet they kick them and so ford!) So then he said you know they are very threatening animals, they could hurt you!!
Don't give me that bullshit!!!!!!!!!! They could hurt me, yeah if I give them a reason to! Dumbfuck. He said you know 2 came at me the other day, I was quite scared, I could not help but laugh in his face. Loser, this was some little punk. So anyway, what do they do to them? does anyone know? And yes, I had 3 geese come at me before, I wasn't scared, all they do is hiss and well yeah they can hit you, but come on?
So anyone if you wanna disscuss or give your views, or if you anything about this so-called bussiness's. Thank you.
Canada geese are a very big problem around here, in N. Ohio. They flock in large numbers to any standing body of water. They crap all over the place, chase native species out and are seen to be a general nuisance. They eat mostly grain, and have virtually stripped the fields of many small farms in the area. In many areas, it's illegal to feed them, or encourage them. Despite these steps, they are here in HUGE numbers.
Some places have employed dogs to chase them, or use sound effects, e,g, fake gunshots to scare them off. I haven't heard of rounding them up & hauling them off. Seems to me that'd be awfully hard to do.
Bottom line for me is, I like'em, but I can sure see where they'd be a pain in the ass. I attend meetings that are held at a local hospital. They have a pond there, & the hospital is surrounded by fields. You literally have to pick your way carefully through goose shit, which is, btw, as large as a medium sized dogs, green, and smells just as bad. Then you come out to find your car covered with the stuff. That's neither funny, nor pleasant.
I say...bring on the dogs.

Geese can be very menacing. I remember watching my aunt be attacked and bit on the ass by one when I was about 10 (of course I don't remember what she did to deserve it, but I'm sure it was something!).

If the geese are a problem there is an easy way to get them to move off without harming them. I've done this more than once.
Parts:
high power handling piezo tweeter.
Tone generator
amplifier, good quality with frequency response capability 10k to 25k.
Just set up and aim the tweeter at the geese. Slowly increase the frequency, stating aroung 10k, until the geese react.
Then just increase the volume and go away for an hour.

is this what your talking about?......some guy came to your place of work to pick up the wild geese hanging out in the pond and relocate them someplace else?
if thats the case i would look into what agency he worked for. then look into their history and how they treat animals.
i know in my county it would be the humane society who would come calling. they are very protective of animals. so i wouldn't worry about any animals health with them. so i think it depends on who is running the animal controll and what their priorities are. some animal shelters just want to stifle animal populations. others do care and want to relocate carefully. depends upon the citizens and the oversite the animal agency gets from the public.
