Had a great vacation in Ca. Bay area mostly, but also went to Yosemite. Had great weather, too. I give more details later, but I want to say something about the drivers there.
They're actually pretty damned good. I drove almost 1000 miles in a week, & I saw almost no "knuckleheadedness." There is virtually NO red light crashing, at least compared to Oh. Nobody tailgates, nobody cuts anybody off, and (are you listening Chelly?), the slow drivers generally keep right & the fast ones keep left. What a concept! Also, most are very courteous. Here in Oh. if your lane is ending, prople will actually speed up in an effort to keep you from merging. In Ca., they actually slow down & wave you in.
I gotta tell ya...I was shocked. I'm sure there are assholes there...hey...they're everywhere, but for the most part, driving there was a real eye opener.
