So, I get a call at work at 11:15am and it's my husband's boss, he tells me Kevin had an accident and he wants me to meet him at the hospital. That he fell and JUST broke his nose.
So I leave asap and I'm thinking oh he's ok, just a brocken nose good thing nothing else was bad. And he was fine. So I'm speeding, because I work 45 min. away in Itasca and I was doing 90 all the way, 'cause whatever I wanted to get there asap. Got there in 20 min. same time as the ambulance arrived with him. He was coming from Hampshire, same amount of time as Itasca to Elgin, 45 min. So they didn't let me in at 1st, because he was being prepped or whatever. Then when I went in, he looked so bad! I was thinking just a brocken nose, nope.
The poor thing had a swollen right eye and a cut near it, a cut between his eyebrows, a cut beneath his lips, which was opened up, you could almost see inside. And he was bleeding so much! I freaked. And he got a brocken wrist. So we we there till 4:40 pm. All day long.
But thank god it was not any worse.
He was roofing and was ready to get off the roof, when the ladder slipped and he fell 15 ft. down to the dirt ground.
So he got 10 stiches on his lip, 5 by his eyebrows and 3 near his right eye.
A cast for his wrist, temporary cast, until he sees the doc and gets the perm one.
Anyway bottom line, he is NOT going back to this job, I told him, he needs to quit and do something else. He is going to college pretty soon, so that's good.
I wanted him to quit actually on Thursday, because he had torn his rotator cuff, doing the same shit, a little bit before! But he said no, he could do it and then , yeah this happened.
But anyway, you never realize how good you have it with your special someone until you almost lose them, or how much really they mean to you.
Because all I could remember as I was driving to him was, what he said to me that morning "I'll will always love you forever".

Ok, I'm done, I just feel better talking about it. Ya know.

But I still don't know really what to think of it, like it didn't happen , but it did. But hey I am just happy he is here and alive.

I lost a fish today. I've had him for a while and he was pretty big. Its a sad day here. He was really entertaining. Most people don't understand fish very well so they really don't appreciate them. We had a puppy adopt us within the last week so I'll go play with him. Maybe he'll make it better.

Carmen, that's crappy luck.  I'm sorry he got hurt.  he's be ok and all will be well with the universe again.  I think he'll rethink the roofing stuff now.  I know I would.

That puppy...oh, my GOODNESS!  sooo precious! looks like a lab mix possibly?

Construction is a dangerous occupation. I'm glad he'll be all right, and that he wasn't hurt more seriously.

I was lucky i never really hurt myself when I worked construction. I've been cut a billion times, fell over and over again, been burned and have had almost every industrial cleaner and lubricant in my eyes and can still see perfect.

As for the puppy, I'm not sure what he is. He just showed up one day and wouldn't go away. We took him to petsmart to ask them and got a lot of different replies, Pit/lab, pit/shepard, pit/husky etc. What do you guys think?
