Hello everyone -

I've just had information passed onto me about the closing of the dog track in New Hampshire's Lakes Region

there are 1100 dogs and they will be euthenized if they cannot be placed.

If there is ANYONE out there, not matter where you are located - who would like to adopt one of these "death row dogs" Please check this out.

I wish I could take 10 of them, I just don't have the space and Mack wouldn't deal well as 2nd dog again.

I don't have current contact information on this, but I will try to update.

I hope that greyhound recuse gets in there and helps them out... thats losts of dogs for them to place on thier own!!!

I would take one if i had a  bigger place.... but as of now i can only have one and it wouldnt be fair anyways

There is a Greyhound rescue orginanization. I have a friend in Ga. that has adopted some of them. I'll get in contact with her & get some more info.

That's so sad!!! So many dogs...

I know we were considering getting a new dog somewhat soon, but I don't think my current dog would accept a greyhound, and I'm afraid a racing dog like those are might not have an ideal home with our yard.

Wow I really hope they get saved, that'd be a downright tragedy to euthanize so many good animals!

Considering there are something like 10-15 MILLION animals a YEAR put to sleep due to lack of homes.....
This is still very sad though. And these dogs will need special attention and LOTS of excercise!
