Yikes... I agree "billion" and things like that are really hard to comprehend, I like these little helpers to wrap your brain around it.

Haha and eek to the last line!

Ah government, the great wealth redistribution system and ponzi
scheme.  Of course, the only people who get any of those
redistributed dollars are the wealthy politicians themselves and their
rich buddies.  I'm so sick of hearing that my tax dollars go to
things "everyone" needs like roads and hospitals....  If that's
so, then tell me how the pot holes and traffic are in your neck of the
woods.  Been in a hospital lately?  Were you helped quickly
and competently in a reassuring environment?  I didn't think
so.  And yet the government money vacuum keeps sucking in every
last dime it can and telling you that it's for your own good.
Wake up people!

Being one of the oldster's here at TF, what I am really concerned about is  people in your 20'/30's will have as far as Social Security. Any in my age group that thinks they'll be able to exist soley on S.S., are in for a very unpleasant surprise.

Don't do what was done in the old movie Soilient Green(sp?). Over 30 yrs. old, you were required to turn yourself in and submit to a painless death and they turn you into edible food. Yum Yum!! Maybe beer would be better.;wtf

As a 22 year old, I am not planning on receiving any social security.
It is too much of an unsafe bet to even plan on a penny from it. I
haven't been following it too closely, but whatever happened to Bush's
plan to allow workers to contribute a portion of their income to an IRA
(or something of the sorts) instead of SS?

Bush (Dullard) will be out of office before it's really addressed in some form. Who ever is the President at that time, doesn't want that (MONSTER) Social Security. This hard to say as a man but I think Hillary Clinton has the guts to tackle it (I was going to say balls but she doesn't have any). If you want to see a President tested by our enemies, she'd be the one (that's why she wouldn't get elected) , since JFK (because he was a young man at 38 to be President and Russia tested him, big time in Cuba). Hillary would probably just nuke the shit out of whoever crosses the line (the line is still to be defined though) but she would be a lot less tolerant and I don't think she'd care which of our allies she pissed off. IMO  Bet I opened up a can of worms here.
