So today wasnt much different than other day. Come in, do the mapping thing, occational questionable conversation with co-workers, and go home. But today... something very different happened.
We are sittin in out happy little mapping area and one of the guys from out back comes in and tells us that we have to go to the weld shop. None of us move, it doesnt sound like a good thing. Then he mentions that it is not work related.... SCORE... we all jump up and have a happy little field trip to the weld shop.
first guy peeks in... then we are told to go look out the back of the weld shop. Alrighty, that gets me even further from my desk so Im game. We head out and what do we see.... Elephants... frigin ELEPHANTS!! Cant say its every day that you have pacaderms hanging out behind your place of work

Today, we just have the Market Days happening here. hot as hades, but kinda nice to have the street where that guy got hit shut down for a few days :o)

Did ya'll have the circus come to town? I'm not sure what I would do if an elephant showed up. Probably just stand there with my jaw hitting the floor...and then i would try to be friends with them.
Since out company is outsourcing everything, we at first thought they had just outsources out backhoe operators and sent us these bad boys from India.
Turns out there is a circus in Rockport ME that they were headed to. The truck they were in broke down so they needed a tow. Turns out the tow place next doot is one of the few that have trucks big enough to tow BIG trucks.... or as it turns out... elephants

Apparently on the channel 5 news this AM the elephants were on. Ofcourse i cant find the story online... hate that!! But it does explain the film crews that were there yesterday. Who knew elephants could be such a big deal!!
And chelly, I didnt see any water when I was out there, but it might have been in thier trailor which was out back of the shop next door. They seems happy though eating all the fox tails there
