i've been asked by several people i've met in the last couple weeks if i name my car.  i don't have a name for mine. but....  it's uncanny how many people have asked me so:

who has a name for their car?  what is it?  why?  let's talk about this now...

I like to name my cars, it's hard though! It took almost a year for me to name my old Mustang, and then I settled on "the Ponie". Creative, I know.

The Focus was equally difficult... I can't really decide if it's male or female, so I chose "Trunia". It sounds cool and kinda loyal, to me. It's the name of a prince in a CS Lewis book (bonus points if anyone recognizes it?) so I guess it's a guy name, but ending in an "a" it can kinda seem feminine...

Anyways, :blah Let's hear others now!

Mine's named "Iggy."

BTW, some folks are getting upset - I can't tell if they're kidding or not - about "outsiders" posting on the TFNE threads.

IMO, a topic such as this would better be posted on the speak easy forum, so all who would like to partcipate will feel free to do so.

Yep we're all pissed at YOU
for trolling over into the TFNE section. :P:P

;jkm

Mr. V I could actually give 2 sh*ts who posts in any section. As long as your a member and not being a dink troll I have no problems.

As for names. I just name mine so I can keep them straight.

ZX3= Z
Sedan= Sony
83F250= 83 (now sold and I no longer have)
87 Toyota= Toyota or Yoda (now that the 83 is gone "truck"
72 F250= 72 (I will slip sometimes and say "truck" but than I need to elaborate sometimes)

I know they are highly original and took months to come up with the names, but it keeps them straight and everyone knows what I'm talking about.

Dink Troll. that is funny!

So I guess in a matter of a day I failed in my admin duties.  I don't see a problem with a general topic being in a regional forum.  We're all part of a family here.

"Can't we all just get along?"

that's what i've been doing too.

i should take this time to mention that my old car, a 95 eagle summit, carried the endearing name "the girbel".  mostly because the 1.5L poop-crap engine had me convinced there was a girbel on an exersise wheel under the hood.

i cirtanly don't feel that way about the focus.  .  i think i'll be comfortable leaving her nameless untill something good pops out to me.

My very first 2000 ZX3 Ford Focus was the Autumn Orange Focus. Hence why I called her Autumn. Second focus, was a 2003 Pitchblack ZX3 and hence I called her BLCDRGN as it was on my personal plates. Now I dont have a focus anymore. So, yes I am outta Focus.  Here are the pics of the two of them.

lol!

Mine is named Grover. My old boss named him. Doesn't really have any meaning I just thought it was cute. I had Lil Car the corolla and Flash the Daytona Turbo that only went 50 miles an hour but he was fast getting there, and then there was Shaggy Boombastic the Aries Station wagon.

Nope, it's just so hard because I can't get the personality of this one as much as my other one.  I've really not spent as much time on this one as I did the other one because I've had no free time to wash and really wax her yet.  Bad Me!  The heat this summer has just been way too much to spend 8-10 hours outside primping her.

There were a few that I really liked, but nothing yet that has really stood out.  "lil' D" was one I toyed w/ because she's a Duratec, but I dunno yet.

suggestions are always welcome.  I'd really like to figure something out for her.  She needs a personality.
