Well go ahead! Speak! (I thought its been a while since I started a nonsense post.)
Lets hear the days happenings. Lets see... whats today... Monday, Oct 10, 2005. Columbus Day. Usually my day for playing on Ameritrade but thanks to Ol' Columbus, thats nixed. So maybe I'll look for another job or something (I always say i'm gonna but don't). Hopefully the day's most exciting event didn't already happen when I visited my "office" a couple minutes ago for some sitting and reading.
Thats good Chelly! 60 is a birthday to be proud of. Not too old, but old enough to know more than most folks.
Now as for the rest of you! We have 12 hits and only 1 response? I know you guys did SOMETHING today. I sat inside all day, played on the computer, downloaded yahoo messenger which plays my launchcast too, and talked dirty to a friend of mine on it. Nothing else. I didn't even go out to my car. Its been so beautiful out. In the sixties and sunny. I had the sliding glass door open with the screen door shut. It was great.
I went to the post office this afternoon, didn't have to go Today but did because I was thinking of it. Stood in line for like 10 minutes since Everyone and their mom was mailing things (yesterday being closed, of course). Oops.
Also, earlier in the day I was finishing up some work in our study lounge when 2 classmates walked by and asked if I was going to a noon meeting I had thought was Tomorrow. So I grabbed my stuff and joined them, interesting talk from a breast cancer survivor. Rudely cut short by a fire alarm, eating up 15 minutes of discussion. That's about it, just finished my dinner, settling in for some studying...
Tuesday, our heater broke, I went home early to meet the guy here. We are getting a new unit. Thursday we get another quote. And then finally installation I hope, because I am FREEZING. My toes are ice. And I am cranky. But hey I always am.
Well Carmen, if nothing else at least the heater chose to kick the bucket now, rather than... oh, say January!?
Stupid home appliances though, they always choose the worst times. Like when our water pump on our well spontaneously DIED on the afternoon of Thanksgiving, that we hosted, and had piles of dishes to do! I swear they have a knack for that kinda thing...
Nothing much new here. I'm doing fall clean-up, & winter readiness things around the house. Work is great right now. I've got really good kids this year. As usual, I'm riding to work & back daily, but not much else. It seem likely that I'l have 5000 miles by the end of the year. This is my favorite time of the year, with the leaves turning, cool weather, etc. I just regret the days getting shorter, but my mood is pretty upbeat.

I've been working myself stupid lately at the office and at home. We got yesterday off for Yom Kippur and I took today off to get a nice four day weekend. I'm planning on seeing Wedding Crashers at the dollar theater today. I'll probably wire up a new light in the dining room and may do some yard work, or I may say to hell with that and go on a nice walk since for the first time in about three months the weather is not as hot and damp as a crotch. Tomorrow, I'm going to the symphony.
