The $950 cocktail -- complete with ruby CHICAGO, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- The newest cocktail at Chicago's trendy Reserve lounge is a gem -- or rather, includes a gem -- a 1-carat ruby and a $950 pricey tag.
For your money, as you work your way down to the ruby, you get a concoction of Grey Goose vodka, a cognac and vodka liqueur called Hypnotiq, pomegranate and orange juice and a splash of Dom Perignon.
And, says the Chicago Sun-Times, you get to keep the "Grade A" ruby.
The lounge says it has sold three of the aptly named Red Ruby cocktails since adding it to the menu a few weeks ago. All of the customers who've bought it have been men "doing it for their girlfriend or wife," bar manager Pete Gugni said.
