Word has it that the Focus is quite a bit more quick, but that the lambo gets better handling numbers (it does have a viscous center coupling with limited slip). The lambo pulls a solid g on the 300ft skidpad.
I've seen the numbers and they don't seem to correlate well with other magazines numbers on the gallardo. Numbers I've seen that don't seem right is...MT says the Gallardo gets .92g on a skidpad, and the RS gets .99 on a skidpad, C&D says the Gallardo gets 1g on a skidpad and European Auto says the Gallardo gets 1.01g. I'm confused why the Gallardo is getting almost a full tenth lower on the skidpad? Not to down the awesome RS, but I think Motor Trend is padding the numbers a bit (they are a predominantly Ford liking Magazine)
I picked up that magazine to read on the plane - with a title like 500hp Focus vs. Lambo, how could I pass it up. Very interesting. The modified RS beat the Lambo (if only by very small margins) in nearly every catagory. Beat it on the road course, basically was a toss up on the 1/4 mile, apparently had significantly better braking if you can believe that, and better handling if you can believe that too. Sorry, don't have the numbers with me though as I left it on the plane. Doh!
