Not one to lay down, roll over and play dead, Dex-Cool meet your match:
Death to all Dex-Cool contaminants:
The last picture is only, ONLY, 10 minutes of run time while I bled the coolant system of air and it had already trapped that much stuff. Im going to run the filter and the last round of cleaner I have in the radiator for about a week and then I'll take it and get it professionally flushed so that I have 50/50 green coolant, preferably the newer G-05 spec coolant in the system and wont have to mess with this stuff any longer.
Im also going to see if I can negotiate a little and get this filter added to my product line-up to offer to my customers. If I had only had one installed long ago I might have been able to avoid all this.
A word to the wise even if you dont use Dex-Cool. First, do a regular oil analysis, once a year would be okay, I personally thing twice a year would be better, even if you arent using synthetics or extended drain intervals.
Secondly, even if you aren't using Dex-Cool this can happen if the coolant is exposed to air in some way for an extended period of time. Dex-Cool just seems to be horribly more sensative to it.
Thirdly, if you are interested in the filter, let me know, if I can start carrying them as part of my inventory along with Amsoil then I'll start shipping them out.
