I just now got electricity back! And my cable came back on within a hour of getting home! Its been since sunday. Its so nice to NOT have to sit in a 50 degree house with no lights or entertainment, and having to read by a single candle. Tulsa looks like a warzone. There's hardly a tree that doesn't have branches broken off, and theres lots of huge ones that are completely shattered. Something like 500k people didn't have power.

Thanks rokstar. Turns out over 600k didn't have power. There were 23 deaths related to the ice storm. 13 in vehicle accidents on ice. 8 died trying to heat their houses with "alternative" sources. And 2 from carbon monoxide. There were also a record amount of emergencies that were carbon monoxide related. I know a lady who almost burnt down her house by directly lighting a propane cylinder inside... She dragged it outside and burnt a lot of landscaping up before the fire dept. came. Okies are not too bright...

Glad you're able to be comfy again. It surprises a lot of people who learn just how much their world is "ruled" by electricity. We're getting pounded by the same storm. Hopefully we won't get the ice, but we could get 12 to 18" of snow.
