I think you should not allow members to change them. Then the admins can make up pet names and assign them to the members, and theres nothing they can do about it.

As for Generic titles - I think the gear thing is cute.

I would like to see some pet names, I know you can have pet names on a different forum, but I also like the gear by post thing...when and if that functionality becomes available, as for a general name to replace Member ([butthead]huh huh he said, member[/butthead]) how about Active Participant in the daily ongoings of the coolest site in the world?...too long? hmm...how about TFNE rules!!!...wait, that's not everyone...hmmm....how about TF Conspirateur.
I think what Rick is trying to say is that we cannot, at this time, have different names for members. They ALL have to be ONE name regardless of post count.

Its too bad that we cant have our own pet names! I'm sure I have plenty of them floating around here! I'd end up being the "resident hack" or something like that! As to my opinion on the subject at hand, we should all get the title addict, cause face it guys and gals, we're ADDICTED!

Unfortunately, we cannot do the Title "bracket" like we had on the old board. We can come up with one name to take the place of "Member", and that is it at this point. Maybe in the future they will offer a way to do it like we had it before, by post count.
I like this idea for those who have earned a pet name.
