Should I, Would i, could I put a 3.0 SHO into a Focus LX?  I have access to 2 complete SHOs and a shop.  I just need a second, third, fourth opinion.  From looking at it and measuring it, the wheel base is 3" longer.  O.K. roll the fenders or weld the back doors shut and Wide body kit.  I couldn't get an accurate height mesurement.  Lengthwise It should fit.  But it's going to be tight.  No A/C.  And the radiator might have to move forward a coupla inches for S**ts and giggles.  But this is coming from someone who is determined to do something different with his Focus.  Can I get an inpartial party's opinion?

I've personaly seen a SHO V6 in a focus before. It can be done. I saw it at an SVT show at Ford's Deerborn track in 1999.

I have heard tho that the V8 conversion has a better weight balance than a V6 FWD conversion. With the V8 you add weight to the front and back but with a V6 you only add weight to the front.

If you use all the SHO's front end parts and make the "special" parts needed you could probably get a differant offset wheel for the front to make it still fit into the fenders. If you wide body the car you would have to do somthing to the rear(not offset rims) to get it out further to match the front. I have found the Focus does not like wheel spacers(even 1/4 inch) never mind many wheel spacers or large offset rims.

What kind of "special parts" would I have to Fabricate?  What I was thinking, and I agree whole heartedly on the wheelspacer thing, is welding the back doors shut, sanding it down, repainting the car, and putting a ZX3 wide body kit on her.  One of my teammates, Tamara, is a freaking genious when it comes to fiberglass.  Watching her work makes me very happy in pants.  Would I have to cut the firewall? I was thinking, take out the A/C unit, and putting the radiator where the condensor is.

Check out the latest Focus Fanatics Mag. There's a V-6 SHO article. Engine is mounted in the rear.

I was just thinking some brackets may need to be fabricated to get the SHO front end on the car. Maybe somthing fabricated for the steering. There will probably be all sorts of little things you may need, to get everything to fit just right and still be drivable.

What he said ^

Also, within the article I believe you'll find contact information for the people who did the work.  You can get some good research from them.

Have fun!
