Just wondering what size of cone filter to use because the one i currently am using rubs against some piece of metal that sticks out and causes the filter to get all holey. i dont know if i can bend this out of the way or maybe remove it but its ruining my filters so i need a remedy for this before i go through like 200 of these filters a year. does anyone else have this problem?? or is it just me??

metal piece? Where? I peaked under my hood but couldn't see anything on mine that even might cause something like that to happen. I'm just using a regular k&n filter.

mine rests on it in the right place. Ive ssen others rub a hole though. you could always grind it off or line it with rubber.
