hi i am new to site i just bought a 2000 focus spi wagon cheap, my freind said his company is junking a 2002 zteck wagon with a good trans. does the trans fit from ztech to spi. thanks for any help
It should bolt up fine but you'll have other issues. The wiring plugs will be different and the computers are different between the 2 cars. Different shift points and such between the 2 motors.
People have tried the auto to manual swap and it is quite involved and required basically a complete donor car. You'd be doing the same basic thing going from one auto to another. The axles and mounts might be slightly differant between the 2 as well.
Changing from auto to mtx is a hell-of-a-job. You'd likely be better off just buying another car. It'd probably be cheaper, and involve much, much less work.
