(sorry bout the title, dont mean to come across as egotistical or anything, yet j/k)
I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a member of the SPI boards on fw.net, ff, and the jet. some of you may recognize me.
I drive an 03 Lx. She is mostly stock for now. I haven't yet started under my hood. Mostly becaues i am saving my pennies for my wedding, and supporting my soon to be wife.
I plan on doing the SWAB mod soon. (as soon as i get off my lazy butt) but the rest of the performance mods will have to wait.
i eventually plan to turbo my SPI, but i wont do that untill i have another daily driver. i hate driving a turbo in traffic.
Anyways...I am Urn. And i hope i can help out around here a little.
ahh, not a dumb question, but i dont know if it would really apply to a non-SPIer...
the SWAB mod is the Super Waterboy Actuator Bypass (pioneered by waterboy from the jet)
basically,for this mod, you disconnect the IMRC from the intake manifold and prop open the butteriflies. it gives a little more low end power. i dont have all the technical details cause i have not yet done this. waterboy is supposed to be putting together a new how-to with pics, and as soon as he has completed that i will share it with you guys, if you want it.
