So last night Chris and I got the throttle body in my car. After going on a wild goose chase for a missing screw that would make the seal all seemed well. Now's where I'm not only a lil worried, but have some questions. When I got in my car to move it ( I didnt get a chace to go on a drive unfortunatly, and i know i should have) my gas pedal seemed a lot higher to me than normal. Then this morning when I was leaving for work, I definatly noticed more response, no quesitons asked but, my gas pedal only presses about an inch and a half to two inches down and stops... I assume it has something to do with the throttle cable... but what? I'm not so sure I feel comfortable with this if its normal but, at the same time, i dont think its normal. Dan can ya help me out here?

Wait, could the sensor have anything to do with the gas pedal being all messed up? Chris and I are rattling our brains here...

The TPS sensor could be involved.

Is the gas pedal the only difference?

Does the car idle the same as before?

When your driving does the car jerk when you press the accelerator?

If none of these things happen then it is just the throttle cable.  Check to make sure it is not rubbing or sagged on anything.

Also check the idle adjustment screw on the tb.  Make sure it is touching the back of the hammer when at idle.  This could be cause the problem with the pedal.

nope, nope, nope, nope, and nope. Does that answer your questions ;)

I figured out the problem. When I got the TB, it was slightly used and the bracket didnt come with it but I was told I could use the stock one.. wrong. Come to find out when im pressing my gas the "hammer" i belive you called it, isnt able to flip over bc its hitting a spot in the stock bracket that we put on there. So needless to say I have been in contact with focus central and im working on getting one shipped over night to me. Thanks for your help!!

You need a mounting bracket for an automatic transmission?  If you can't get one or decide you want to wait a few days, let me know...I can get you one for the price of shipping.

No its not for automotic, its for a manual. I did order the bracket and I had it sent over night from california. It will be here tomorrow morning. I am leaving for the long weekend and I didnt want to deal with that, nor put my car through the abuse of it not being right. So she should be all fixed by the time I leave tomorrow. Thanks though.

Sorry Tiff. I just figured you could use the stock bracket like all the other tbs..
Leave it to ford to cange things just enough to cause loads of problems.

Also I worked in Boston today and have verry limites inet access...

Glad to see you got it figured out...
