the best part.........well besides me getting it for 205.50 :P  is that apparently the escape zetec comes ready for an oil cooler! now I just gotta get rid of that RWD fuel rail and get the focus rail. :cool:

congrats...

I say you put the recomended 5w20 in it so you don't void the warranty

and I'll give you a great deal and sell you some slightly used oil. 10w30 only used in motor for 2 weeks before it overheated poped the radiator and mented the grill slightly.

I live just north of you and I use it.  All year round protection, even better additive package and better protection against wear. :D


I will say that I think you ought to have a very guilty conscience for stealing that motor.

About the 0w-30... I also noticed this summer that with it in my Z finaly hit 28-29mpg and 30 once when before I was happy to get over 25mpg and occasionaly 28mpg

yes. I feel very guilty for buying it out from under the original owner. I feel so bad that he paid for it and all I had to do was pay 205.50 in storage charges to get the motor he let sit at roadway for 2 weeks. And I bet I'll feel even more guilty when I'm driving it around with 10 lbs of boost on it. :cool:
