Hello everyone.  I just picked up a shiny new Ford Racing cylinder head because I accidentally stripped the spark plug socket on my stock head.  :(

Anyway, I've got my whole car ripped apart right now.  I guess there's some silly nonsense about clearances and tappets.  I'm recycling the stock camshafts, cams, and tappets -- and I assumed that if I put them back into the new head in the same order I took them out of the old head, everything should be ok.  Turns out that's not the case...

So what I've established is that I need to know what the stock clearance for each lobe should be, then measure my current clearance, then move the tappets around or replace them as necessary.  Correct?

If so -- where the heck do I get the stock clearances values?  I tried a search on FJ, but as we all know, their search function sucks ass ...

Help!

ok sweet.  I actually just found out that the intake clearance should be .15 and the exhaust should be .30 -- which would be the middle of the suggested specs above.  I guess these are in millimeters, according to that chart.  I guess the number on the tappet is in millimeters as well?
