It's back cut ,knife edged and lightened 5lbs. It's going in a all motor focus. I made it to cut down on rotating wieght. Along with Kryptonite ultra lite rods and SRP ultra light pistons with machine tooledwrist pins.
Yea! I got a little carried away with the polish job. It was a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. To answer your question-- Yes I balanced yesterday. 12.5 to 1
your right! and we are hoping to help reduce the need for feathering the throttle on the launch by reducing the tire shock. It should help hook up
Here is our intake Same intake with a Zetec flange. We should have it in the next week or so depending on how slow shipping is. With any luck at all we should have the motor back in the car in time to dyno it by the end of the month

Wow, how much does an intake like that cost. Sucker looks like it should add some punch to the motor. Will the thing fit in the engine bay without any modifications?

It whines a lot, but I like it
we have to cut the intake in half and section it to change the angle so the throttle body horns will not hit the tower brace. The intake complete is just over $2100.00. that is with 4 30mm throttle bodies.

just turn the engine sideways, then it won't hit. goin thru the same ordeal as you, building a big na motor. My motor doesn't have enough rotating mass at this point. Good luck, keep us posted
Where are you getting parts from? Burton power? Looks like a good plan, wish I had 20grand to drop into mine. hehe. So far the bill on just the new engine is around 6500 and that's not including ecu or cams yet.
This started out being my son-in-laws project. I have worked in a speed shop for almost 19 years. I grind cranks and balance assemblies. For IMCA cars and drag cars mostly small block and big block V8's. I got hooked on the NOPI stuff after I saw a few races. The dry sump system is easy to come by at:
