If anyone here has any links to any sites with reasonalby cheap prices on this stuff i would be very appreciative if they could hook me up. Like i said i don't get piad 40 mil a week and i can't soen 700 bucks ok headers or anything like that....after i get all this i will be looking to buy a body kit and neons...but any referances to any of these items would be demmed very helpful....I live in northwest washington but i have a buddy in Scottsdale arizona who could ship me stufff from that area....again thanks for the help

Honestly, the mods you seem to have chosen aren't going to be cheap. You would probably want to invest in some quality headers and definetly some good coilovers if you're going that route. I don't know much about flywheels so I can't comment there.
Don't go with the cheap Ebay coilovers. It is better to save and get something that isn't going to be bouncy or uncomfortable to ride in. If you can't afford coilovers, look into some springs and dampers.
Check around in the classifieds of Focus websites and generaly you can find some good deals if you're willing to buy used.
Good luck!

You can get away with a cheap intake, but your gonna kick yourself in the ass if you a try a cheap header and cheap coilovers. Why coilovers by the way? I wouldn't dare mess with a cheap shifter and I doubt your gonna find a cheap flywheel anywhere. Plus, if you want a body kit you want to make sure that the fitment is right so you can't go cheap there either.
Just save the money and get quality stuff...you'll feel better about it.
yeah coilovers aren't going to be cheap, a nice set of springs and dampers will always be cheaper than the coilovers, and much better quality for an equal price comparison.
You don't want to cheap on your headers, since chances are if you do, you are going to have to buy three or four a year because of poor welds.
You can get a nice stainless steel exhaust from MBRP for $200 right now.
I suppose I should ask this question before I get into that though, what year is your car? Because that will ultimately determine what you can and can't do to it.
As white said check the many focus boards for sale items as well as ebay and possibly the local paper.
Headers will run about $250 for a decent one and I have heard that not long after it will ruin your cat so there's another $200(or so) for a hi-flow cat.
The Fly Wheel will run you about $500 and I think there are only like 4 or 5 brands out there.
You can get a cheep Bombz intake for 30-50 on ebay and a cheap (I beleve OBX) short throw on ebay for 30-50.
Unfortunatly the Focus is still fairly new to the aftermarket and the Zetec is going to or has leveled off due to the introduction of the Duratec.
There probably will be a day when you can go to the 711 and get any part you need like you can for Civics

Thanks for all the help but what is MBRP? And i was actually looking at the AEM Intake, and the coil-overs on the Focus Sport web site. Anyone got any experience with thoes? Also B & M makes a short throw for the zx3, but i don't know the big difference between the zx3 shifter and the se model....probably a big one i just don't know it lol......And my car has the reverse lock on it and i don't even know if i can put a short throw on it so that could be a problem....but thanks again and i will check out thoes places you said!

The MBRP is an exhaust system. Joe has a problem reading people's signatures I guess. The zx3 short shifter will work in the sedan IF and only IF you have the zetec motor. The short shift will include a new reverse lockout, so don't even worry about that. To tell you the truth, the reverse lockout on these cars isn't even needed. Mine has been out for 50k miles and no problems yet. The coil-over suspension on focussport is the H&R coil-overs, and I haven't heard anything about them, good or bad. If you are short on money, look into getting a Bomz intake off of ebay and upgrading the filter. It's an AEM knockoff but it does the same thind IMO. Well, thats just my fr now.

go to autozone and get chrome paint and a K&N aftermakr-et rplacemnet air filter$40 dollars then paint your stock intake system chrome...it will be the same as an aem CAI....guy i work with has a aem....me i have the kn.....no performane difference,
im selling an cai if you want one.

Sherms-RedSEYou might be able to get away with a cheap Ebay shifter. It has the same reputation as the Bomz intakes. Some people love them and have no problems, and some break. The shifters changed in 2002.5 so just make sure you get a pre 2002.5 shifter. There was a guy on http://www.myfordfocus.com trying to sell his shifter for a very reasonable price. I'll have to see if I can find the link to it. You CAN put a short shifter on a car with a reverse lockout, you just have to make sure you buy the right one.

I know a guy in san antonio that would likely be selling an AEM CAI for cheap. you would need a new filter though, the old one got waterlogged and then the engine sucked up water and there was uglyness.............................................
If I were you and I had to pick my mods carefully because of fiscal reasons, I think I would pass on the flywheel. They are expensive, and unless you are comfortable with your mechanic abilities, it will require professional installation. the cost of which would be about what you'd pay for a clutch job.
For the most part that everyone has mentioned. Go w/ the better clutch later down the road. Here is a list that I threw together. This is what I would go w/ first. But you don't have to take my word for it. This is also going to depend on how much you want to spend. Since you don't want to spend alot here are some engine items and their prices.
1. $139.00 http://www.focus-central.com MAC Short Ram Air Intake. Or do what I did on my focus. I just kept the stock air intake hose and added a K&N Cone Filter. Works just as good as the MAC short ram, but the cone will cost less than this will. Say around $25-$60.00 ballpark figure.
3. Screamin demon coil pak: Coil Pak price:$ $65.00 and the special screamin demon sparkplug wires:$99.00 from http://www.steeda.ca
This for now should help you as far as the engine mods are concerned. This is just to help you get started. When you are able to get some more money let me know and I can help you w/ other engine mods. Next up Exhuast System.
1. Pace Setter Cat Back. This may not be the greatest, but w/ not alot of money this is pretty good. http://www.modernperformance.com has this $170.00
Hope this helps some. Need any more help you can IM me as silversteak 2001 on Yahoo, drifter2056 on AOL IM or PM me on here.
I've never really heard any good things about the Pacesetter exhaust...
Ray has his Magnaflow catbacks on sale but you have to email him for the price. He has some good prices on the rest of his stuff, so it's worth asking.

just my adding on to your list or rather improvements
1. I personally dont think brand name cold air intakes are worth the $$. Pay 120 bucks for a piece of aluminum tube with a filter or jump on ebay and get it for less than $50. your choice. ebay has these things all the time so no prblem finding one
2. UDP yep no argument there
3. Get the coil directly from Performance Distributers, its only like 59.00 for the coil. the coil and livewires runs a bit more. http://www.performancedistributors.com/focus.htm i guess if you want the coil and wires get it from steeda, but i have magnecor wires and they work great so its your choice with wires
4. I haven't heard much of anything good from pacesetter. I hear their headers are made all wrong and theyre just shit. avoid pacesetter. get a brand name cat-back and you'll be safe
another thing that shouldnt cost too much is a throttle body. focus central has these as well. Focus central has alot of cool shit. and alot of the links given by fellow members here are also good. A good magazine that has alot of focus stuff in it lately is HCI magazine. they'll have focus parts suppliers ads in there as well. google also works wonders if you want to do it olde style
again just some pointers and good list drifter, i just thought i'd add my
