Is it a direct bolt up exchange to put a 2.5L V6 SVT Contour engine in place of a 2.0 Zetec?

I think that the trannies may be different, but I'm not sure. Did te 6 cyl contours use the MTX-75?

I have seen it done several times.
And the svt contour did use the MTX-75 tranny, but I beleive they used different gearing.
I'm not sure how direct fit it will be, like any engine swap there is probility a fair amout of fabrication.
IMO for what it would cost you to get a svt contour motor, wire, and ecu you could up grade the zetec to have more power. If it were me I might look into a sc set up like the jrsc or the paxton sc.

What was the 2.5 rated at for numbers? You can always upgrade your 2.5 during installation. I need a motor, and a 2.5 swap would certainly be fun!

Is the 2.5 the same block as the 3.0? I'm getting bored and need something to use with my Megasquirt since my mr2 is in Fl.

my understanding of the V6 swap is that it is not as easy as just hanging it. Certainly possible though.
