Ok so I drained my battery down to zero charge and the led's in the car won't even come on.
I have had it on the battery charger for the past 8 hours or so and the charger sais there is no power in the battery and the red is visible through the poop hole in the battery.
Is is common to have to replace battery after the power is drained. The battery is only 3 years old. I'v had other batteries drained and recharge with no problem.
Whats up with this??????????????????????
it is very common to kill batteries by draining them flat....try turning on a light (dome light, parking lights)while charging the battery...sometimes having the current flowing will induce the battery to take a charge....
Ok so i'm into a new battery. I also just realized that me car is possible out of base warranty with 25K on it. I hit the 3 year mark first. bought Jan 01 so most likely out and was told extended warranty does not cover the battery.
So what do you guys think. Stock or Ultima...?????????
Got an ultima for $15 more than ford wanted for a stock one.
I had to re-rout some wires(negative one for more length) but got it in there and seems to not touch hood.
Also the new ultima is a 750CCA compared to fords 500CCA
