Ever since I had my fuel pump replaced under the recall about a month ago, my fuel gauge has been wildly inaccurate. Before the swap, it would provide a fairly accurate measure of the fuel remaning, but (it started right after I got the new pump, as I filled it up right after I got the new pump) now it won't even start moving until I've burned about 1/4 of a tank, and will read about 1/4 tank left when I know that it's empty (all of this is based on previous driving, and was confirmed twice when I filled up the entire volume of the tank even though the gauge said I still had 1/4 tank). My question is, are these two things related? Is it possible that when the pump was changed, the tech may have mistakingly changed something, or forgotten something? I think that the whole thing is fishy, and want to have some sort of argument when I call the dealer tomorrow or Tuesday. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Just a guess, but when your fuel pump was replaced, it was necessary to drop the tank. When it was replaced, whoever did it, didn't check to see that the guage sending unit was properly positioned. Either that or it was bumped, jostled out of position, etc.
