does anyone know if the getrag's metal shifter base will work with the MTX-75 shifter? When I do my turbo swap I want to use the metal base and avoid the broken plastic problem.

as far as I know they aren't the same, however, I recall in the past talking about this, a long while ago, and the consensus was that there is a metal shifter base for the MTX-75.  I think focus central was selling it a long while ago, but they'd probably know where to get one.

that was a base from a  contour.

let me post the comparo pic.

SVT is on the right.

the only differences I can see is the linkage on the shifter faces the opposite direction. However, this should not affect the operation i if used the mtx-75 shifter that faces the other way. the SVT base has no block for the reverse lockout so I'd jsut remove the lockout off the shifter.
