I recently installed a Volant CAI and ram-air scoop on my 2002 Ford Focus ZX5 and I LOVE it! I do have a question about the noise though. It's louder than I would like and I was wondering if there was a way to reduce the noise transmitted to the cabin? Like maybe a sound-absorbing spray/foam maybe? I dunno, any suggestions?

I'm not sure your going to be able to fix the problem. Unless you plan on sound profing your car. Is it that loud? I have a Volant and I don't even notice it. Of course I'm running a raceheader without a resignator. LOL So I know about loud. Want to take mine for a spin?

You can get them at Volant.com and also Newedgeperformance.com, I think. It will cost you a pretty pennie I think $199 for the scoop. Then add on the cost of the Volant $249 that is if you don't allready have one. I'm happy with the Volant by it self.

It's a Volant Intake, so neither short nor CAI. I would say it's closer to the stock set up. Like a short ram in an incased air box especially since he has the ram air scoop.
