Ok Guys, here we go again. Car is not idling again. Not as bad as last time, but there new probleem is while I am driving it, the car makes me feel like a milkshake. I literally pulled over to check if my tires were flat. It girates back and forth as I am excelerating especially but even when I come up to speed, it starts doing it and I am at a loss to the point that I am ready for a new car. I love my car, but it seems like everytime I turn around, it is doing something else. Anyone have any ideas what this could be????

it doesn't happen all the time....mainly when the car is warm so I am not sure if that applies to the tires in any way, but worth a shot

It happens mainly when accelerating and when I get up to spped. Nothing in N or when going downhill. Mike checked all plugs, wires and stuff. I have  a zetec....its an 01 ZX3 S2. It only idles for about 2 mins then I have to rev engine to above 1000 rpm or it will stall.......UGHHHH!!!! The shaking is bad though cuz when I go home the other day, I felt sick to my stomache.

When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter?

Is this a wobbling or a stammer - surging forward and back or feels like it's loosing power or just feels unstable?

I'm just trying to figure out if this is an engine thing or suspension.

Its like a back and forth thing......I really feel like a milkshake inthe car...the car does struggle with power almost like I have to step on gas twice as hard to get the speed up. I wouldn't call it a wobble, but not really bucking ....... I can feel myself being pulled back and forth inthe seat almost like a rollercoaster ride...I had tires checked just for the heck of it and they are fine.

push the button on your keyboard that says caps lock so the light goes off. using all caps is considered yelling and very rude on forums...

If it's not electrical, it might be dirt. Cat might be blocked. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Possibly could be a dirty MAF or TB.

cat is new...only been on a few months, but I will have him check. I know he has changed the fuel filter, but unsure of when. That was one thing he was gonna change first cuz he figures it can't hurt.

Well, if you haven't had the fuel filter changed in a year, start there.

Check all of your lines - vacuum lines & fuel lines for separation, holes or kinks.

check your plugs to see if they are fouled and run some injector cleaner.

All of these symptoms sound like a fuel starvation issue to me - the last resort would be to check the fuel pump and replace it.

I really don't think this is a probelm with your suspension or wheels - I would seriously look into the fuel/air system. Also, like said - clean your MAF Sensor (very easy and if you want some help, let me know I can call you or pm you how I clean mine) Also your dpfe - if you've not had it replaced in the past, you're probably going to need it now - this is a classic symptom of a bad DPFE even if it doesn't throw a code.  Mine went bad in two instances and both did not throw a code, but when removed it was a bad one and the replacement fixed the problem in my 2k2 ZX3.

Best of luck hun -

Thanks Chelly....we did a lil test cuz unfortunately both of us a re really short on cash right now...I am out of work so due to that Mike has to foot everything til I get something.....anyways, we disconnected the hose to the  egr valve and plugged it up the disconnected and reconnected the DPFE  this seems to solve the milkshake making issue so now we just need to figure out the stalling issue which will prob be replacing the IAC because cleaning it is not working for very long. Hopefully I will get the job at Verizon Wireless on Thurs when I go for the interview so that I can get all this stuff done. I think we are just going to replace it all....IAC, EGR, DPFE, and the fuel filter so that it is all done at once. DPFE has been changed before though I believe it's been like 2-2.5 years.....Thanks for the help and I will pass it all on to Mike and if things work out on Thurs, I am borrowing money to start getting things fixed.

Noooooooooooo!!!!  Just kidding, I work for Verizon Business.  I deal with Verizon (GTE), Verizon Core (Main business orginization), of course, work for Verizon Business and I have to say that from all that it seems that Verizon Wireless is about the best place to be now.  They have a monster network, though I dont think quite as big as Cingular and they (Verizon Wireless) have been very profitable.

Good luck with everything.
