Ebay intakes are like playing the lottery- some are good, some are crap.

What was the item number? I'd be willing to take a look and see what I think.

Putting a cone filter on the MAF and removing the stock airbox will flow better than stock. However, a short-ram intake that gets rid of the flexible stock tube will flow even better. Those flex-ribs are a major restriction.

Here's the thing about cold air intakes vs. short ram intakes.

Yes, a short ram intake draws air from the engine bay, which is warmer than the air outside the engine bay. So you're talking about maybe 1hp difference? To truly need a cold-air intake, you need to have a lot of work done to your car. Otherwise there is no real benefit to a CAI as opposed to a short ram. A short ram, because it is shorter, has better throttle response, and flows better than a CAI, which at higher RPM's, more warm air is better than less colder air. Not to mention a short ram is usually a lot cheaper than a full CAI.

You don't want to get one that wants you to move your MAF.

This is a good cheap one.

BUY IT.

You said you already bought an intake. If this is true, then you're best off to just use the intake you already bought!
