Hi All, Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to clear a P1000 engine code without going to a FOrd Dealer and have them rape me to clear it. I took the car into Ford today to have it diagnosed and tey are saying that the updraft O2 sensor is aftermarket and looks like it was modified and the car is stalling and sputtering and making a whining noise as I accelerate all because of this sensor except that there is no code other than this P1000. We are a bit baffled because the O2 sensor was never modified. We got it at auto zone and put it in the car as is so unless the dealer decided to mess withit or autozone messed with it, it was never modified. But, anyways, I was told the code has to be cleared by an authorized Ford Dealer to pass inspection....Is this true and is there anywhere else we can take this to clear code? Will code clear itself? Any help would be much appreciated.....Thanks all!!!!!
