Okay, a while back when i first bought my Focus. A friend of mine showed me this neat little "feature" i guess you could call it. If you held in the trip meter reset peg and started your car, the gauge cluster would then go through a self test type deal. All the needles would go peg-to-peg then reset. If you then continued to press the trip reset peg thingy it would start to display all different number/letter combinations. I have yet to figure out what they all mean. I know one of them in MPH down to 1/10th MPH, one is KPH. The one that i like the most is EXACT Enging PRM. I even found out that my tach is off by A LOT. It needle sits at 0 when it should be at about 650-700rpm. There are other ones too. One shows the DTC code. Sometimes it will let me scroll through all of them twice, before i have to turn the car off and do the whole process over again. I'm just really curious as to what ALL of them are. My friend told me that one of them is cubic inches of air that's coming into the engine, another one is intake air temp, another one is coolant temp, one is engine temp, and a few other major/minor engine parameters. But this is also the friend that rolled his Focus showing off to some chicks too. He's fine though, just a wrecked Focus, some steep insurance increases, and a majorly bruised ego is about all he suffered. But if anyone knows ANYTHING about those things lemme know, becuase it's really annoying me for some reason. Thanks! :)

hahaha. i know what you mean. i did it once at a redlight, waiting for it to turn green. The guy next to me was like "wanna run 'em." i was like, "why not". So i then proceeded to shut the car off and start it back up. I clicked through to the RPM indicator, and the guy started freaking out and yelling. "WTF man!? What'er you doing to your car?! What'd you just do to your car!? Why'd you turn you car off!?" I just laughed and said "nothing, i did nothing to the car. Let's go!" Sadly, though, he declined, and turned off. I laughed my ass of. I thought that was great.

That's probably a good thing. Your clutch, 2nd gear syncro, your license, and maybe you & some passers-by will get to live another day.
