my question is will the SVT instrument panel(speedo, tach) interchange in place of the ZTS instrument panel? if so, will my current mileage appear on the digital screen since it pl;ugs into the wiring harness to the ECU?
It will fit and the believe it will work as well. You do need to have the cluster set by Ford or some other authorized company to match the mileage from the new cluster to your car. Yes you plug the cluster into the ECU and the ECU does hold the milage but the cluster also holds the milage.
If you are just wanting to change the cluster out to get white face guages there are cheaper options out there that look just as good. Off the top of my head speedhut.com (I think) has overlays that work with your existing back lighting (peal off the stock guage and stick on the new one) or thay also have the indaglo type that lays over your existing guages. You can customize them however you like with sayings and graphics. Worth a look anyway.
