i finally decided to try champions new E3 plug, DAMN!! what a difference!!! my ZTS is very responsive, the acceleration is very crisp, the only way i can describe the way may car drives is... when you first get in your car when the engine is cold, your car is very responsive for about 15 minutes then it warms up. its like that all the time now! last weekend, for those of you who watch horsepower tv on saturdays and sundays, they did 2 dyno runs with a 383 chevy v8, the first run was with standard plugs, which pulled about 400 h.p. the second run was with the E3 plugs, 408 h.p. and you dont have to gap them. just thought i'd pass this along and let you guys see for yourselves, for those of you with forced induction you will more than likely see a big difference as well ! oops! i almost forgot! the 383 stroker gained 6+ mpg!!!

The E3 plugs are a very nice design. The incorporate a VERY important feature, an open end to the combustion chamber. The incorporate a sidegapped feature and the open end design which really helps flame front propagation. I dont think I ever got to run them in my Focus, but I did run them in the Grand Prix and the results were very nice to say the least.

However, there is a plug out there that I find is an even better plug and that is the Brisk plugs, particularly the LGS series. I put a set of those in the Grand Prix and throttle response went through the roof.

I have experimented, tested, played with spark plugs for many years and the two features I have come to find most valuable in a plug are a low internal resistance or low overall spark resistance (read: I dont use platinum, iridium or other exotic metal plugs because they are higher resistance than copper. Sometimes its unavoidable though), open end to the combustion chamber, and multiple spark paths.

The E3's and the Brisk plugs use these features well, but the Brisk plugs seem to edge out the E3's in my opinion.
