Ara, I looked at your sig and all of your mods are gone.  I had a question about your suspension set-up.  You have the adj. shocks and struts from BAT inc, right?  How do you like them?  Do you use the adjustiability very often?

Do you have the 50mm drop springs, how do you like them?  Are they low enought?

Your input would be apprecaited.

I really like them...they really levelled the car out so the back isn't sitting up in the air. The ride quality is great; a little stiffer then the SVT but not so stiff that you need a kidney belt. The 50mm springs are low enough for me. They dropped my SVT about 3/4 - 1 inch...the 75mm would have been too much for me. Plus with the 75mm, you'd want to make sure you have the proper offset if you are going to go that low and you may need to order the Eibach or comprable adjustable camber sets. With the 50mm I didn't have to. It's low enough for me. The Spax shocks have like 9-12 adjustable settings (maybe more)...a lot of settings. I think mine are set at 3 clicks in back and 4 in front...I don't remember since I haven't touched them since the install. I may stiffen them a little this summer...I've had them over a year and love them.
Attached is a photo...

Sounds like a ringing endorsement.

One more question, on the tires in that photo are the sidewalls of the tires 45 or 40's?

The ride hight looks nice to me but the side walls on my wheels are 40's.  I'm just trying to gauge what my ride hight would look like w/ my drop and my wheels.

i have 2 different angles, but one (SVTs) are 45 pro, the st200s are 40 pro..you wont have any issues, i drove on the 40s for a week and a half almost, no problems whatsoever.  if anything they make it better, less sidewall roll ;)

if i had to add ;2cents to what i said above, id add thet the 40 series dropped it another .25" roughly, maybe a lil more, but def no more than .5"

Mine are 45's...I'd be worried with 40's..they may drop you a little more but, you're not leaving much protection when you hit potholes and things...I've never driven with 40's..so Sveet would no more on that....just remember though that the SVTF starts from the factory being lower then a stock Focus..so take that into consideration...so if the kit drops mine 1"...it will most likely drop your 1.25 - 1.5" inches...ask the people at BAT...

Not to mention you are talking about different width tires as well, most 40 tires are 205-40R 17 and the 45's are 215-45R 17, that's not just a 5% difference in sidewall, the sidewall number is a percentage of the width. Not to mention there isn't added width to lend protection to the wheel either. I know that rex has 205-40's though, I think he was just looking for what it's going to look like.

The wheels Chris was running were mine. I ran them all last summer and never had a problem with them. I did hit potholes, its impossible not to... but no problems. Feel free to check em out at the g2g on the 17th.. i have something else you might be interested in checking out too actually.... see ya then!

i dont know what the roads are like in RI, but id recommend sacrificing the .25" and having the protection on your wheels. you saw what could happen...dont screw yourself over and regret it

Thanks for the advice, think I'll go with the 50mm Bat springs.

I have the 50mm BAT springs and Spax non adjustable shocks. I love the drop. Course I have a Sedan so it looks a little different. I plan on going with the adjustables here in the next few months. I'm gonna try to get them on before Carlisle.
