OK... Just got back from a nice morning at the Ford dealer and my suspessions were right... I need new pads and rotors (couldnt even turn them if i wanted too...poop!).

I think i have the pads under control, but I dont know jack about rotors. I have heard slotted brembos are good ones but that still doesnt help me when i comes to going out and ordering them.

Anyone have suggestions for me about what rotors to get.... and perhaps a little information about them in general so i dont look like a total tool when i go to order them?

Thanks for the help!!

And Dan...You now know that ill be gettin in contact with ya to get them put on since you offered ;)

There are many rotors out there, most all of them aren't that bad, don't go with cross-drilled on your daily driver, they can crack which is not good, otherwise, a slotted is decent, there are a bunch of different brands out there, I've got the Brembo sport slotted rotors, got them from Tire Rack.  Don't remember what I paid now, it wasn't too bad.

I replaced mine with the rotors & Mintex pads from http://www.batinc.net

They work very well, are silent, and for all practical purposes, completely dust free. I love'em.

No, I had'em put on. They really are terrific. I got the stainless lines, too. They make the pedal VERY firm. It's a really good feeling & easy to modulate.

I thought that's the address I typed, but maybe not. Did somebody change it?

Pokes if you are looking at getting new rotors MAKE sure they will work with the 15" stock rims.  Some rotor up-grades require a larger size wheel.  It depends on what you want to spend but Willwood makes some sweet brake kits for your fofo's.

Joe, thats exactly what i was thinking about getting. My friend has them on his car and loves them... and if i remember right, you enjoy yours very much as well? AND they fit the stock 15s im assuming since you unfortunatly are getting rid of your 17s right??

Just wanna make sure before i spend $180 ;)

Hmmm... I like the sounds of that :)  Just wanna make sure i get pads that produce little to dust... with those white rims coming i wanna make sure i have to battle as little as possible ;)

Ill have to look into that now ;)

*OK... just looked into that. Looks like a good deal but apprently the pads that come in the rotor/pads package arent that great... dusty and noisy. Might get the rotors from BAT and then pads from Tire Rack :

Another Question: Should i bother with the break lines too while im doing this or should I just do pads and rotors?

Some ss brake lines would help with petal feel, but if you just doing regular driving they are not needed.  Also you are getting white rims, sweet, they look real nice on black cars.  What kind?

Mr. V, did you take the parts to be installed somewhere that I might have an outlet here, or was it through someone you know?

yup, the brembo's and mintex pads, equal very very little dust and great brakes, but again, you can get blank rotors for less than slotted.  That all depends on what you are looking for, Brembo has a limited lifetime guarantee, which is nice.
