Saturday was my baby's big day..  She got her suspension installed by two of the best guys ( Even if it didnt take 14 hours, i would still say that ;)  )

Here's a few shots of how the day progressed:

Yup, she's going to look good alright...

Uh-oh... you know theres problems when the saw-zall comes out!

Now theres a good way to make the best of a bad situation huh?

Annnnnd, problem solved. Bet im the only one that has one of these! ;)

And we're getting somewhere... (notice it looks preeeetty dark out)

That's what I'm talking about!

Finally... about 13.5 hours later.. the men are tired... If he only had a pillow and blanket ;)

And here's the result!!

I'm extremly happy with the results. This is a B+G Spring set up with the Eibach Pro Dampers. Driving to Maine for the g2g on Sunday was a good way for everything to settle in...Hopefully I have another exterior mod on the way within the next few weeks  to a month... keep your eyes peeled!  ;)

And in case your wondering.. the problem that was had was the nut on the top of the strut wouldnt come off... so we went and bought the top strut mount... not thinking that we also needed the spring plate too.. so we had to cut the strut to get it off.... where there's a will, theres a way.... They proclaimed "Victory" around 11:30pm after beginning at 9:30 am .... oye...

Looks great! How does it ride, (I don't mean handle)? I love those rims. Are those the ones you were going to sell?

Looks good Tiff, that's the same problem we had with Chris's suspension.  When I do my suspension I'm just going to buy a new plate and mount to avoid this problem.  Should also speed up the install too.

Yea Bryant, we thought we were being smart too, I went and bought the two strut mounts, but we didnt think of the spring plates.. go figure..

I really do think the car looks nice and im happy with it. I believe the springs are 1.6" in the rear and 1.5" in the front.. Chris can correct me if I;m wrong on that though... Bryant, if you get those plates and strut mounts, your golden, your suspension will be done in ohhhh 2 hrs tops?? hahaha

Good thing yo did this first, so I know exactly what I will need.  The extra cost will be worth it if it takes me half the time.

I had no problem getting mine off. Dropped the whole assembly out of the car (spring/strut) and then hit it with an air gun while the spring was compressed. Came off like a charm. Mine must be special or some shit.

My husband just did mine a week and a half ago and it took him maybe 4 hours to do it all.
Although I did end up with a cut stock spring. :D

All i know is a camber kit is going to need to be installed in the near future.. my rear wheels are tipped in and that doesnt make me happy. I've noticed a clunk in the rear end and i think it has something to do with this. Would that make sense to anyone? When i turn the wheel i get the clunk( almost sounds like if i ran over a rock right, you get that specific sound from the tires...) and it comes from the rear...

sounds to me like a sway bar bushing is bad/loose. also, check the torque on the LCA bolts.

how severe is the drop? Definately get the crash bolts for the back but my advice is to avoid the front camber plates if at all possible. those things fix camber but wreck the suspension geometry. causes noise, bearing wear, and unstable springs.

Tiff did you get the car an alignment after the logn day of install? If the springs are low enough they'd probably need the camber bolts after that anyway, but some might not.

I've also heard to avoid the front camber plates if you can get those wheels pretty much in line, which I think is easier to do than the rears... though I have no idea why.

Its a 1.6" drop in the rear with the B + G springs. The car is going for its alignment this week. I havent been able to do it simply for financial reasons.

I'm sure the camber kit is going to be needed but we'll see what happens after the alignment. Thanks for your help!
