Is there a way to put disc brakes in replacement of my rear drums?

If so, what do I need, and how?

They sell kits for the focus but they cost major cash. It's something most people look into..see the price and move on. I don't have any links to sites anymore or I'd hotlink you to one.

The chasis is the same on the 05 as on the 00-04 so any older suspension or brake parts should fit. The sheet metal and dash are the only new things in 05, well besides the mortors.

The chasis are the same from 00 to 05. All suspension pieces will fit from those years.

I think you may need the control arms also. I am not positive but I think i heard somewhere that the control arms are differant between disk and drum. But it might just be a differance in the backing plate. I say get the whole thing. If they are similar or the same that you have some good spares. They are about $90 a side from ford.

You may need the bendable brake line as well. The metal line probably is the same due to mass production but the flexadle line might be a differant length and differant connector or somthing silly like that.

If yor taking it off at the salvage yard just grab the control arm and everything on it plus any lines you think you may need.

Just thought of this. Grab the parking brake lines and setup also if its not completly attached to the control arm.

i think the parking brakes toast, it allmost looks like the motor was pushed into the cab, its pretty well beat but the rear tires looked ok and the brakes were still on there. i just hope the control arms are straight, ill know more tomarrow when im there. thanks fx. later

If you are planning to swap out the drums to the svtf rear rakes you
should also upgrade your front stoppers aswell.  If you don't you
will have a very larger bake bias in the rear and that could cause some
strange feelings in the brakes.  If you do this just be vey carful
the first few times you brake hard, to see if anything strange does
happen.
