Just got the confirmation email from tire rack. 4 new BF Goodrich G-Sport tires in 205/50/16's are on their way!

I decided to go with a more all season tire this time around. The high tread wear and typically less than adequate water traction of the pure sport tires turned me off to them. I have yokohama AVS ES100s right now and because of my progress-ive drop, the changing TOE-IN killed them. New camber kit with eibach crash bolts and specialty products camber/caster plates should fix what ails me.

These new tires have 340 tread rating and are considered a sport all season tire. There werent any reviews avaiable for this product so Im taking a small gamble with them. Im sure it will be fine though. most of the reviews are useless anyway. Example. " I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 thats highly modified. I bought these 75$ tires thinking that they would hook up. They dont hook at all, these tires are crap!" and other such nonsense.

anyways, just wanted to post about it. A 500$ purchase deserves a little fan fare.

If your camber is off the car eats through tires so I hope the parts fix your camber problem.  Also keep us posted on how you like the tires, we should get a tire recommendation thread going because there are people here that are looking for tires.

Toe is just as bad unfortunately

I've got -1 camber, but now I need to have 0º toe on the rear to keep from cupping the 17x7's, just a note for those who wonder.

I just ordered up the BFG G-Force Sport's also. They are in and waiting to be instaleld. I thought the sports were the summer tires and the other G-Foce tire was the all seasons..

Oh well.. we need to test these things and do a product review. Tire Rack hasn't even thested the G-Force Sport tires. They have only been out about 2 weeks.

oh sweet. I didnt know they were that new. Hopefully they are some good tires.

Why is it we agonize over tires? They are moderately expensive yet we sweat over tire rack for an hour before finally pulling the trigger on a set. I sat and read all these stupid reviews and checked all the dimensions before buying the  G-force sports.  In all reality, the only stats that made a difference to me were the tread rating and the price. Something about buying tires.............

I looked atthe tires for a week reading reviews and checking this and that. I was also looking for 16s & 17s. I than called Tire Rack and spoke with the FJ contact and 1 hr later the order was done. He told me they they have not yet tested them (as of last thursday). He also said they use BMW 318's for testing.

We sweat over tires cause they are overpriced for what you need them for. The 17s were $66 each and the 16s were $78 each. Figure that out.. I really don't have the money for tires but need new ones so looking for best value tire..

I just bought BFG Traction TA's. The G Sport's were so new, that nobody knew anything about them, so I decided go go with a known quantity. In general, I'm a BFG fan.

hmmm, 5k on  falcon ziex 512 and have to replace 2 due to feathering on the rear. did finally get the rear straightened around.

fc adjustable toe links, camber bolts and will shortly be adding the ford upper ams with +1° camber. right now the toe is .6 and camber is 1 deg w/ camber bolts maxed. as soon as i get the upper arms things will be set at 0.

never had any alignment problems with the front after lowering it, just the rear.rear was still in ford specs but right on the outer fringes

it's alright to have some camber (toe hurts worse than camber).  As far as I know, some camber is actually better, so it may be advantageous for you to leave the camber where it is.
