I know we've done product reviews etc, but I figured I'd try to get a bunch of us who have owned a focus for a while post up their favorite brands and why.
Mine - Kumho Ecsta ASX All seasons for an everyday driver tire. These have impressed me to no end on dry and rainy pavement with my 17" wheels on both my 2k2 and my 2k3 ZX3.
They stick to the road and I've never felt 'out of control' in rainy streets including hwy driving.
I can also say that while travelling this summer (2005) I did 3000 miles in the heat of summer out to the Midwest. While exiting Chicago, my psgr side hit a severe pothole and held!
When we got to St. Louis we looked at this tire and you could see where the wall had a 'bubble/bulge' where it had 'torn' inside. I have to say that after the over 300 mile trip in 90+ degree temps down the highway there that wall held fast! I did not bend the rim and that tire didn't loose any air at all. I did end up changing it out while in St. Louis because I wasn't up for pushing my luck, but I cried a little to say goodbye to that tire.
Let's hear from more of you with feedback and experiences that would bring you back to the tires of your choice. Please include winter tires & even racing.
Thanks and happy driving!

I don't really have a favorite. I've had excellent luck with Goodyears, BFG's, and Dunlops, and Michelins. When I'm buying, I usually look for one of those.
I avoid Firestone, and Uniroyal.

General, Dan had these on his Sony Edition and they instantly got hard spots with just a few times of hard stops due to Mass traffic.
I've had Delta's before on my 4Runner and they were horrible - They just would not balance well
currently, with the stockers that came w/ my 2k3 PZEV - the Perelli P6's don't make me feel safe at all. I find they have hard tracking and I can feel the side wall roll very easily. Water traction was horrible too. I won't be using those again. I'm trying to get my hands on some 15" rims and I'd really like to get some Blizzaks for this winter. Anyone have any feedback on them?

They are awesome on the dry, and still quite amazing on the wet.
I have driven a wrx with the RT-215 aka Azenis Sports, and they aren't as good in the rain.
All around awesome tire for the late spring/summer and fall.
Just mounted the snow tires for the winter, cuz these definitely aren't all-seasons (at least in New England).
I was reading this thread and thought about adding the cost information to these as well. eg: Economy, Mid-Ranged, Pricy etc.
I'd say economy for a 15" tire would be in the $30-$40 range as an example, but that may not hold true for a 16"
My Kumho's were mid Priced, but very reasonable based on its performance. I will own another set.
The Generals were sadly low to mid ranged in price and not worth it
The Pirelli P6's I've driven on came w/ the car and I hated them. I just did not feel in control. The side walls did not feel like they could hold the front heavy weight on the Focus.
Right now I'm on some Nokian Hakapalitta RSI's - Mid ranged to higher end I suppose when you look around. My father was able to get me a break on mine, so mid ranged. There is some noise, but they are winter tires. They are nicely chunky with loads of cuts for ice and I have posted a pic elsewhere in this forum. I've had some snow this week to deal w/, but nothing much to write a real review on. They were comfortable on the ice and packed snow I dealt with. They're meant to be great w/ ice, but then again- Ice is Ice no matter who you are and what you're driving.
I was following Dan w/ his car to bring to the garage to put up for the winter and he had to go through the snow we had (about 4" in Manchester) going down a 2 lane hwy for about 26 miles and we couldn't go higher than 40mph on his BFG G-Force Sport's and they were horrible in the snow - of course, they are meant for summer seaon and clear roads. What a sight that was! Oh, those, Mid cost to upper in price.
