I want to buy lowering springs for my 03 ZX5.  I need some feedback on what brand  everyone has installed, how low and would LOVE to be able to see pics of the results to help make up my mind.  My car is my everyday transportation, so i want something that has good handling and smooth ride.

Also looking for aftermarket headlights.  i found these on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-01-02-03-04-FOCUS-ZX5-BLACK-CLEAR-LED-HEADLIGHTS-ZX3_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ8045800848

anyone have feedback on these?

  Thanks Everyone

I have the chrome ones just like that, and I really like them alot.  They put out nice light on dark backroads the high beams are great.  And they really fit well.  Installation takes a little bit with all the wiring, but well worth it.

my preference is eibach pro springs.
im running them on my sedan and have been for almost 3 years. great handling, but still a smooth ride altho not as soft as stock. drops about 1 1/2 inches or a tad more once they settle.
my svt has h&r racing springs which are being swapped for new eibach pro's. tired of beating the hell out of my kidneys. stay away from race springs for everyday use. these dropped it about 2.5 inches.

hey mustfcs, are the 2 smaller bulbs towards the outside turn signals? can i use those and do away w/ the signals in the grille?  And i have read alot that the after market lighting is backwards from stock and they have to do some rewiring to get it so the hi beams are hi's and the lows , low. did you have this problem?

The outside bulbs are both turn and parking lights.  I have not figured out how to get rid of the lights in the center grill because they seem to be reverse polarity (sp).  If I can figure it out I will be doing it, because I would like to do a euro grill in the center.  And as far as the high/low beams they were wired the right way and I have had no problems with them at all.

Also to go along with your lowering spring questions, I have lowered mine 2" in the front and 2.25" in the rear with Eibach Sportline Springs and I have had them for 4 years and they have performed very well.

what brand are your headlights? Do you think that it would be safe to order the ones from ebay as far as fit and quality goes?

I put the SVT suspension on my car. Fard racing sells the kit with SVt rear sway bar for just under $300 I think??

Drops the car about 1/2 inch and you get better handeling and somewwhat keep the stock ride quality. also good for a budget suspension setup.

Good handeling and smooth ride are a hard combination to come buy. fx3 has the right idea. The SVT set would fit best to what your looking for. Just don't expect a large drop in the ride hight. If your looking for a lower look then the Sportlines would suit you just fine, however keep in mind that right around the 2" mark you'll need a camber kit. Also if you get anything other then the SVT kit I would recomend replacing the OEM dampers. Due the springs making the dampers sit at a more compressed state they last only half the time.
