That's right kids, I got me a pimp new ride. My gf has been in need of a car pretty much since we moved in together. Ive been cartin her ass around everywhere.

Don't worry, I still have the Super-Focus.

Anyway, I came across this for 2100 bucks. (1600 + jm lexus's ridiculous 500 dollar dealer fee). It's a 1995 Ford Taurus GL, keyless entry, power windows, locks, seats, mirrors, everything.

Theres a few spots on the seats, but I should be able to get those out with a shampoo machine. Also that one a/c vent on the pass side is broken ... a new one is like 9 bucks.

a few spots in the backseat too, nothing crazy

trunk

hot sound system (new CD player will be in before anyone even gets around to reading this...)

orig owners manual which I dont think has ever been opened...

But here's the best part of all. This 10 year old car has only 20k original miles. :D JM lexus thought the car has 120k, hence the 1600$ sticker price. plus, when this car was traded in, it was FILTHY, so they only gave the previous owner 1600 for it. It was marked for towing/junkyard.

Turns out it was owned by some old couple . They have been the orig owners since they bought it new in Miami in 1995. Well, the husband died, and the lady took the car -- and the insurance money -- and bought herself a brand new Lexus.

mechanically, the car is perfect. Drives/shifts like brand spankin new. The paint is shiny all over the car. even the hubcaps have little to no curbing on them (uncommon for the old folks of this area.)

it's not supposed to be a cool car. It serves its purpose of getting me (And my gf) from point a to point b efficently and reliably.

Although i do wish it was a different color ... :(

Wow that's a really good deal on a flying spud!

The way the dealer wasn't sure of the original miles reminds me of "Bank error in your favor" in Monopoly... dunno why!

$2100's pretty good for a car in that kinda shape, gotta love the little old car owners. And a $500 "dealer fee"? Yikes.
