Is that a custom intake manifold or the FS one?

Looks like a nice set-up, I'm interested in the #'s it'll produce.

lol, actually that's been the number one comment I've gotten so far. The fram is on there to keep dirt out during the build and install, then the mobil 1 goes on. haha. The mobil 1 is twice as long and costs 4 times as much, not gonna beat it up puttin the engine in ;) Funny how many people mentioned it tho, must be cuz it's orange on the blue, draws the eye to it.

numbers... hoping for 190 at the wheels n/a and she'll see a pretty constant 100 shot, maybe 150 at the track or for "big race weekends" We'll see. I'm still without a tuning solution, so the oem intake is goin on and she's gonna putt around on the 19 lb injectors and stock ecu til we can figure something out. <sigh>

The intake is a focus central short runner that I've slightly modified to my own personal preferences.

Should have the nitrous plumbed by tonite and the new interior stuff ran, and toss in the engine/trans by tomorrow <fingers crossed> I'll post pics all along the way. After that, we get to pull the 351 engine and trans out of the blue focus yet again to replace the torque convertor. yuk

thanks for the comments,

g

nice engine stand, Harbor Freight rocks!

what type of paint did you use on the block. I like the look of my crate motor's stock black but it always rusts off so fast, be nice to paint it.

Question, 90* angle on the nitrous jets? have you found that to be more effective at atomization than say a 30* into the runners?

as usual, great work!

1200 degree royal blue enamel paint. Found at autozone. It lasts forever, we put it on the turbo car header at 1600 degrees it changed color but stayed blue, well on the dyno it kinda glowed red but it was blue afterwards. haha.

90 degrees points em right at the center of the intake valves, they atomize like crazy, so i'm not too worried about length to the chamber. Haven't gotten to hook it up yet, but did get the car to run today finally.  kinda weak on the 19 lb inj, and still in breakin but its been one problem after another, now she's leakin oil somewhere in the back. Will sort it out tomorrow and give her a good run.  thanks for the props, long time in the making, but it's nearly almost here.  ;)
