Anyway, I got tired of my ZX3. So, I picked up one of these. It's a 2005 Corolla XRS -- XRS being basically the GT-S motor from the Celica. Holy crap, this thing is mad fun to drive.
Anyway -- pics!

Still chillin' at the dealership...
OMFG 18 miles! It actually had 5 on it when I first test drove it.

Interior (yes, the seats are blue-grey, and the door panels match)
That is a nice looking corolla you have there. Besides the wheels any other mods in mind? I test drove one of the corolla-s models before buying the focus. It was a nice car..
So far, the only engine mods available are Injen's CAI (which is actually just an adaptation of the Matrix XRS intake) and a TRD axleback exhaust. Suspension is the same as the other Corollas, so immediate plans are: window tint, springs, wheels, intake, exhaust.
Sidenote: with just the Injen intake and TRD exhaust, people have run 14.9
Not a bad looking car for a Corolla. If I was you I'd get a shop to do a custom cat-back exhaust- I bet you could get better than a 14.9 with it! Go 1/2" larger than stock, mandrel bent cat-back. Any good exhaust shop can do one for you, and it probably will cost about the same as the aftermarket axle-back. I got mine done for $150 on my Mazda- the cheapest aftermarket one was well over $200.
It's not a Focus though, you punk.

Magnaflow is actually supposed to have a full catback sometime this fall. I'm waiting on that to see if the injen/magnaflow combo is any better than the injen/trd combo.
As for it not being a focus, you are quite observant. I did test drive a 2.3 Mazda 3, and sadly, I'm not impressed. This car is a comparible in $$, and is MUCH quicker. I also like the xrs interior over the 3's interior.
I did look at a focus st, which would have been good since I could have recycled some of my focus parts, and the 2500$ back would have been nice. But eh .... corolla gets better gas mileage (by far) and is still quicker.

Yes, it's a 1.8 ... 2ZZ-GE is the motor (whereas base model Corollas ans Celica GT's have a 1ZZ.) There are a bunch of parts for the Celica, but not get for this yet. (ie, the headers would fit, however the flange is different because the bolts are in different places. Give it time though .. car's only been on the market since April.) It's the same motor, but has been retuned. The GT-S makes 180hp, and I dont remember the torque. But it doesnt make full torque until 6500 rpm, whereas the Corolla 2ZZ motor makes 170 hp and full torque at 4400 rpms. After that, it drops off slightly until 6800 when the timing kicks in and screams all the way to 8200.

Input?????
No, this is a Corolla S with a 6 speed and a re-tuned Celica GT-S motor (as listed above). 170 hp, vs the CE/LE/S making only 130.
This is one thing I love about this car -- no one knows what it is. Aside from the rear discs and the wheels (Which are being replaced anyway) it looks like youre ordinary run-of-the-mill Corolla S. Plus its grey, and blends it, so after I debage it, it'll make for a great sleeper.

The Focus was sold last week. I didn't part it out. (too much work.)
