Ok mods for my car are now aem's cai, focus central underdrive pulley kit, and the t/c kill switch which i think everone who is serious about improving there quarter mile time needs to consider doing.  anyways moving on to business tbs.... I am trying to decide which tb will be the best Focus central is what im leaning torwards.  I  have heard some good things and some bad things torwards steedas.  however my number one question is does bbk make one for the svt i know they have a 70mm for the zetecs and bbk would be my way to go if they make one for the svt.  does anyone out there have a clue?

thanks justin

I could be mistaken but I think the steeda one is a focus central relabeled. Again not positive but I think I have heard that about the zetec one.

dont recall seeing a bbk for the SVT, but again, im not positive either. i have the FC 65mm...greatly improved throttle response. not so much power, but response. and with the CAI, makes for a nice throaty rushing sound;devil

BBK dosen't make an svtf tb.

Most people have the FC one, including me.

Also Dan, you are right the Steeda one is just a FC one, I don't even think they rebadge it.

Actually BBK DOES offer a tb for the SVT Focus.  The part # is 1754 and Options Auto Salon and ADVENTON offer it for around $300.  Enjoy.

Be careful if you purchase the BBK one. I have the BBk 65mm for the zetec, and it has some serious sticking problems. It has had them eve since I got it. The guy I got it from had purchased a BBK one and it was sticking really bad, so he called BBK up and they told him to sand dwn the butterfly. He promptly returnd that TB and got a refund. He bought an FC 65mm I believe, then BBK sent him a FREE 65mm TB. Well he didn't know what to do, so he sold it to me for a really good price. The reason that they sent him a free one is because he worked for a ford dealership and he made it well known that he would not reccomend any of their products to his customers. I think they were just trying to kiss his ass by sending him a free TB, but I still think he has issuses with their products. Maybe their manufacturing has gotten better and they no longer have these problems, but I do not know. Would you buy a product that you have to modify just to make it work correctly? Thats kinda like buying a brand new house with only 3 exterior walls IMO. Just my 2 cents for your reading pleasure. Maybe try to find somebody that has the BBK t/b for the SVT and see if they have had any problems? :caution

something to think about before you get a bigger TB...

To make the best use of a bigger TB so you get more power is do these mods first...and then you will really feel the difference

Exhuaust
Intake
Cams (or in our case Cam)
and your fuel management at the same time. they tend to go hand in hand...

then you will really notice a good difference in throttle response and horsepower...
