I've recently acquired a tick in the engine, not a lifter but the fuel injectors.  Anyone else have this problem.

I believe that is a trait of the SVTF. It is the injectors pulsing and nothing to worry about from what I hear. I think it gets worse in cold weather situations from my understanding. But I'm not an SVTF owner, so maybe one will step up and give some info on this.:wave

So what do you think if the noise does not increase with the increase of RPM's.

Ticking is normal, fuel injectors, plus being mostly plastic accounts for more noise. I would be more worried if no noise!(Stuck)

The foci don't have rockers, it is a cam on bucket set-up.

The faster the pistons move up and down the more frequintly the injectors open and close, that accounts for the increase in noise.

I don't think new injectors will solve the problem.  It is one of those svtf things you have to live with.

I can't hear the injector ticking n my car.  Of course the turbo spool and bov drown out most other noise.;)

You don't have to go and rub it in! LOL

Yes this is normal for all Zetec motors, the SVT is just a fancy Zetec
